- The rich surface of Planter Palmer Company's Soft-as-Silk pots is smooth to the touch, with a subtle but beautiful patina.
- They use a labor-intensive process to achieve this unique surface by applying a double layer of the terracotta wash onto each handmade pot and burnishing every piece by hand. This flattens all the clay particles and creates the softest raw-clay surface possible.
